Sōjōbō is the great tengu of Mount Kurama, a mountain spirit of fierce power and deep wisdom. His feather fan, the hauchiwa, can raise a storm with a single sweep. The same fan is Kurama-dera's crest.
Based on my own photographs of the carved and painted images of Sōjōbō found on Mount Kurama, from more than 80 visits to the mountain, where I lead group and private tours. Printed on demand and shipped to you.
