A Mountain of Wonders – Mount Kurama, Kyoto – Mug
The whole mountain in one design, printed on both sides of a glossy white ceramic mug: the vermilion Niomon gate, the main hall, a sacred cedar in its shimenawa rope, the twisting roots of the forest path and the great red tengu.
For anyone who has climbed from the Niomon gate over the mountain to Kibune, it's the trip in a single picture.
