Karasu Tengu – Mount Kurama – Black Mug
A crow-winged karasu tengu perched on a cedar branch with his feather fan, on both sides of a glossy black ceramic mug.
The karasu tengu are the crow-headed followers of Sōjōbō, king of the tengu, who in legend sparred with the young Yoshitsune in Kurama's forest.
Inspired by the karasu tengu images found across Mount Kurama, from more than 80 visits to the mountain, where I lead group and private tours. Dishwasher and microwave safe. Printed on demand and shipped to you.
