Yoshitsune's Training – Mount Kurama, Kyoto – Mug
The young Yoshitsune training with the tengu in the cedar forest, in a woodblock-style drawing, printed on both sides of a glossy white ceramic mug.
Legend says the boy Ushiwakamaru, later the great warrior Minamoto no Yoshitsune, slipped out of the temple at night to learn the sword from Sōjōbō and his karasu tengu.
Inspired by the legend and the tengu images found across Mount Kurama, from more than 80 visits to the mountain, where I lead group and private tours. Dishwasher and microwave safe. Printed on demand and shipped to you.
