Kurama-dera's pair of a-un guardian tigers in the temple's own folk-art style, printed on both sides of a glossy white ceramic mug.
On Mount Kurama the guardians are tigers, not lions. They are the messengers of Bishamonten, who saved the temple's founder in the month, day and hour of the tiger.
