Tengu, Yoshitsune and Tigers – Mount Kurama – Black Mug
The tengu, the young Yoshitsune and the guardian tigers of Mount Kurama together in one bold, tattoo-style design, on both sides of a glossy black ceramic mug.
Legend says Sōjōbō, king of the tengu, taught the boy Yoshitsune the sword in Kurama's deep valleys, and the temple's guardians are tigers, the messengers of Bishamonten.
Inspired by the legends and tengu images of Mount Kurama, from more than 80 visits to the mountain, where I lead group and private tours. Dishwasher and microwave safe. Printed on demand and shipped to you.
