Yoshitsune's Training – Mount Kurama, Kyoto – Tee

282,62 kr SEK (plus tax)

The young Yoshitsune training in the mountain forest, drawn in the style of a Japanese woodblock print.

As a boy, Minamoto no Yoshitsune, then called Ushiwakamaru, was sent to Kurama-dera to become a monk. Legend says that by night he slipped into the deep valley of Sojō-ga-dani, where Sojōbō, king of the tengu, taught him the art of the sword. He grew up to become one of the most famous samurai in Japanese history.

Inspired by the legend of Yoshitsune and the tengu images found across Mount Kurama, from more than 80 visits to the mountain, where I lead group and private tours. Printed on demand and shipped to you.
