The great sacred cedar of Mount Kurama, ancient and hollowed by time, wrapped in a shimenawa rope with white paper streamers, beside a small shrine hung with the temple's feather-fan crest.

O-Sugi Gongen (大杉権現) is the spirit of an ancient cedar on the path between the main hall and the inner sanctuary of Mao-son. It's one of the mountain's most loved places to stop, breathe and sit quietly in the forest, and by tradition Mikao Usui meditated here; the great tree is said to be an incarnation of Mao-son.

A Length

Begin at the collar's edge at the top of the t-shirt (the highest shoulder point) and extend the tape to the shirt's bottom.

B Width

Start the tape at the seam just below one sleeve and stretch it across to the seam below the other sleeve.
